  1. I’m glad Bush finally admitted that there was no good reason to invade Iraq (pretty much [using fewer words than Bush]the Al Queda-Hussein connection was a sham, a reason to invade). Maybe now people will see through his lies.

Will read more when I have time…gotta get to class.

  2. […] The Prophetic Heretic often has some interesting analysis on current events, such as his current post on USAmerican self-determination ideals and contradiction.  Even when I don’t necessarily agree with him, I enjoy his writing style. […]

  3. The latest press conference:

THE PRESIDENT: The terrorists attacked us and killed 3,000 of our citizens before we started the freedom agenda in the Middle East.

Q What did Iraq have to do with that?

THE PRESIDENT: What did Iraq have to do with what?

Q The attack on the World Trade Center?

    THE PRESIDENT: Nothing

  4. This is a good post. However, you sort of strawed topics from the beginning to end. No worries though. By the way, have you seen Why We Fight yet? It’s really an eye opener.

  5. Hey, my first trackback! 🙂

At the very least, I touched on a number of topics that could certainly provoke discussion and debate, but a common thread is there – that there are contradictions between American self-understanding and foreign policy, of the way America understands other nations. But yeah, there’s a lot of different topics touched on there.

No, I haven’t seen that. I remember you reviewing it in your LJ, made me want to see it.

You should watch Steal This Movie. I think you’d dig it. It’s about Abbie Hoffman.
